Panther mauls boy to death in Mumbai

In a yet another incident of panther attack, a seven-year-old boy was mauled to death at film city in suburban Goregaon area of Mumbai on Wednesday.

According to the police Irfan Khan was playing with his sister outside their slum, when the animal appeared from the bushes and dragged the boy away.

The child's wailing attracted the attention of neighbours, who pursued the animal, forcing it to let go off of the child, the police said.

The injured boy was rushed to Bhagwati hospital, where he was declared dead before admission.
