Why Salman hates the name Bollywood

The Twitter world is quite a busy one, and Bollywood contributes a great deal to it. Here's looking at the best star tweets of the day.

Be it remakes, music or even the name itself, Bollywood is highly inspired by Hollywood.

But Bollywood's controversial Khan, Salman Khan doesn't like the name. He tweeted his disappointment: 'Hate this bloody name, bollywood, koi naam hai kya ? Disgusting .'

He went to clarify the reason: 'Hollywood se bollywood naam nikla, this is nt the name of our industry. Don't kno whr this ridiculous name has cm frm n got stuck .'

He just didn't stop there. He continued his rant as he wrote: 'Bollywood was fr wen mumbai was called bombay toh kya shld it nt b called mumllywood,hw ridiculous is it. it makes us look like chamchas'

So what do we call Bollywood then? Salman tweeted: '1 of the 1 st film production was called bombay talkie's so call it that or mumbai tal... Or indian cinema,call it any thing but nt boll..'

'Jst got a super tweet saying that it shld b caled hi fi which stands fr indian film industry . Cool name. Sorry hi fi stands for hindi film industry' he added.

Vivek Oberoi who was a part of a mass wedding in Vidarbha on Wednesday tweeted, 'All the couples were from very poor homes, so my family and I decided that we would gift the 3634 couples a suitcase each full of gifts to help them start their newly married life :) I can't even begin to explain how amazing it felt...such fantastic social work, true national integration!!! The couples were from all religions, all castes, dalits and even physically challenged couples. All the great saints and religious leaders from every religion were present to bless them...i felt so lucky to meet them all and take their blessings.'

The overjoyed Vivek continued: 'It felt so awesome to see the joy on their faces, to make them all feel so special!!! I felt so honoured to do the 'kanyadaan' for 3634 sisters, I can never forget this experience in my life!!! Thank u god :)'

While A R Rahman is battling for his next Oscar win, Bollywood appears to be excited about his nomination.

Singer Sunidhi Chauhan agreed with music composer Vishal Dadlani as he wrote: '127 Hours. What a film! What music! Danny Boyle + Rahman + Joe Franco, and Aron Ralston. God bless you all I hope he does win. "If I Rise" is a magically beautiful song!'
