Kiwis name the usual suspects

New Zealand's cricket board came up with its 19-member short list for the World Cup, and the final squad will be selected on April 4.

As picked, the squad reads: Stephen Fleming, Geoff Allott, Nathan Astle, Matthew Bell, Carl Bulfin, Chris Cairns, Simon Doull, Chris Drum, Matthew Hart, Chris Harris, Matt Horne, Gavin Larsen, Craig McMillan, Dion Nash, Shayne O'Connor, Adam Parore, Roger Twose, Daniel Vettori and Bryan Young.

According to the convenor of the Kiwi selection committee Ross Dykes, the 19-member squad contains plenty of options with both bat and ball, the only lacuna being the lack of a back up wicket keeper in case of injury to Adam Parore.
