Six Bihar policemen injured in landmine blast

At least six policemen were injured, two of them seriously, when suspected Maoist Communist Centre extremists blasted a powerful landmine at a place under Bagodar police station area in Giridih district of Bihar on Wednesday.

District Deputy Commissioner Satyendra Singh said in Giridih on Thursday that the landmine was targeted at the police squad, which was on a mission to trace a truck hijacked by MCC extremists, he said.

The extremists also looted two revolvers and a rifle from the policemen.
