PIX: Sonam Kapoor's debut at Cannes

Aishwarya may have left the building, but Sonam Kapoor landed soon enough in Cannes to fill her shoes.

The actress who, like Ash, endorses cosmetic giant L'Oreal, walked the red carpet for the ongoing Cannes Film Festival for the first time when she attended the premiere of The Artist at the Palais des Festivals.

The fashionista that she's known as back home, Sonam floored everybody with her outfit and appearance.

The geometrical patterned white dress has a mesh overlay and the black print is beautiful but it could have done without the train.

Sonam pulls off the dress though.

Sonam knows how to strike all the right poses for the cameras.

The young actress pulled out all stops with her smile and the statement ring that she had on.

She also opted for black nails to go with her white dress.

The dress may have been flowy, but it shows off Sonam's figure just fine. Here's a closer look.

While Sonam works the sari, we'd like to point out that the make-up's making her look like she just came back from a Carribean holiday.
