What are your first impressions of India?

I think it's an amazing place. Everyone, who talks of coming here, feels it's a special place. I feel it's a very spiritual and magical country. What made you pick India to launch Paris Hilton handbags and accessories?

India is such a huge market. I am always on Twitter and there have been so many fans out here and they write to me to visit India. I have been very busy but somehow this time, it worked out and I am glad to be here. I wanted to come here from a very long time.

You must have heard of Bollywood. As an actor, would you ever consider working in Bollywood?

Yes, I have heard of it. In the past, I have been approached to be a part Bollywood films. I think if I get the right script and an interesting role, then I would love to do a (Hindi) film. I think Bollywood films are beautiful.

Reality shows are very popular in India now. You have your own reality show, Paris Hilton's My New BFF (best friend forever) in London and Dubai. Is there a possibility of starting it out here?

I would love to do that but I am very busy. As an entrepreneur, I am currently focusing on my business.

Do Indian designers feature in your wardrobe?

I am very inspired by them. I recently shot the cover of Marie Claire India. Rocky S was my designer and he is amazing. He dressed me in the most beautiful dresses. And I love the sari. I would love to wear it in America.

What got you into designing handbags?

Since I was a little girl, I have been very fond of handbags. I loved my mother's handbags and purses. Ever since I started my brand, we have been doing a lot of accessories like shoes, sunglasses and other things. Handbags are my favourite because it makes a huge fashion statement.

According to you, what is the significance of a handbag to a woman?

I think it is an accessory that is not only fashionable but something that stands out. My bags can be carried any time of the day, whether for parties or school or when you casually go out. It is an affordable luxury. There are so many expensive brands in the market. I wanted to make something, which was fashionable yet affordable.
