Andy: Talking about a woman's curves is normal

VJ Andy is the latest contestant to be ousted from the reality show Bigg Boss 7. His eviction comes just three days before the grand finale on December 28.

“I never presumed that I would win the show, but I really thought that I would make it to top three,” Andy says. But he adds that even getting to the top five is a great achievement.

Andy or Anand Vijay Kumar was an entertaining contestant. “It was an unpredictable and crazy journey. Salman (Khan, host of the show) is my guardian angel and guided me throughout my stay in the house,” he says.

“I looked forward to Saturdays when Salman spoke to me. He would tell me, “Andy, tum bahut accha ja rahe ho (you are doing fine). That gave me confidence.”

'Sangram was like my teddy bear, we shared a bed like brothers'

Andy was close to another contestant, Sangram Singh, though they fought often.  “I am taking away good friends from the show like Shilpa (Agnihotri), Tanishaa (Mukherjee) and Elli (Avram).

“Sangram was like my teddy bear, we shared a bed like brothers.

“Shilpa was a good friend and used to tell me what to do and what not to do. I was shattered when she was evicted,” Andy said.

'I thank Bigg Boss for throwing Kushal out of the house'

Did he ever play to the camera?

“Yes. I have done things for the camera, like making faces or dancing. But there are a few people who used to talk to the cameras a lot. One of them is Ajaz and we used to wonder what he was doing.”

Andy feels that Gauahar’s closeness to Kushal affected all her relationships and led to many fights in the house.

“I’ve been a stylist for films and done fittings for models too. Talking about a woman's curves and measurement is normal. It was a joke with Gauahar which was blown out of proportion.

“I stepped back when I realised it wasn't culturally accepted. But I didn't expect Kushal's reaction (he grabbed Andy by the neck, and was asked to leave the house), which I felt was not necessary. I thank Bigg Boss for throwing him out of the house.”

'Gauahar will do anything to win the game'

In the beginning, Andy and Gauahar were very close but things went sour after a few weeks. “There are still many problems but we will remain friends outside,” he said.

Gauahar, he says, “wants to win the game anyhow and she is always focused on winning. Whether, it was a task or whether she's a sanchalak in the game, her target is always to win the game. She will do anything to win the game.”

'Tanisha has promised to take me for a vacation if she wins'

So who does he think will win?

“I would like Sangram to win. But I have a feeling that the competition will be between the two girls (Tanisha and Gauahar).

"Tanisha may win because she has worked very hard to be in the house. She has been the most consistent person in the house from day one.

“People have said so many things about her, ganged up against her, but she never lost her sanity. And she has promised to take me for a vacation if she wins (smiles).”

'I want to have my own talk-show or a dating show'

What next after Bigg Boss for Andy?

"I want to have my own talk-show or a dating show. I would also love to go back and do theatre in London.

“I want to do all kinds of things be it in films or television,” he concludes.
