Isha Talwar worked as a model, appearing in many commercials before entering the world of cinema. She is daughter of Vinod Talwar, who works as a director for Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor.

A Mumbai girl, she graduated from St Xavier's College in 2008, and learnt various dance forms like ballet, jazz, hip-hop and salsa.

As a child, Isha worked in the 2000-released Hindi film Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai starring Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai.

Her first film as a lead actress was the Malayalam romantic drama Thattathin Marayathu in 2012. Directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, the film saw her team up with Premam fame Nivin Pauly.

The film was a huge success and was later remade in Telugu as Saheba Subramanyam and in Tamil as Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai.

Her second film, I Love Me, a thriller, also released in 2012, but failed at the box office.

Isha made her Telugu debut with the film Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde alongside Nithin and Nithya Menen the following year.

It was in the same year that Isha also made her appearance in her first Tamil film. Titled Thillu Mullu, it was a remake of Superstar Rajinikanth’s 1981 comedy film by the same name. Despite mixed reviews, it did well at the box office.

In 2014, Isha had four Malayalam releases -- the very successful Balyakalasakhi, opposite Mammootty, comedy film Ulsaha Committee, which turned out to be a flop, God's Own Country starring Fahadh Faasil and Anjali Menon's Bangalore Days, which turned out to be one of the biggest critical and commercial successes of the year.

Siddique's Bhaskar The Rascal, which released last year, also did very well at the box office. The film also featured Mammootty and Nayantara.

Isha is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Saif Ali Khan in a film tentatively titled Kaala Gandi. The film is being directed by Akshat Verma, writer of Delhi Belly.

Isha is also part of the portmanteau film titled Crossroad helmed by 11 different directors in Malayalam. The film will feature 12 leading actresses and will explore the various aspects of womanhood.
