Abhishek creates a stir in Varanasi

Suparn Verma

Abhishek Bachchan shooting for Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai Hamare Amitabh Bachchan ka beta shooting kar raha hai Ashwamedh ghat par (Our Amitabh's son is shooting at Ashwamedh ghat)," beams a woman, her face marked with years of wisdom. "Baap ki tarah lamba hai Abhijeet (Abhijeet is as tall as his father)."

Abhishek, you correct her.

"Haan, haan wohi' (yes, yes, the same)," she says.

On the ghats of Varanasi, Abhishek Bachchan is shaking a leg with 50 other dancers for a song sequence of Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai, which also stars Rani Mukherjee. To go by the rumours, Kareena is the third star in this love triangle.

A big group has gathered to catch a glimpse of 'Amitabh's son.' Every time the young actor comes out and rehearses a step, the crowd chants 'Amitabh, Amitabh,' alternating it with 'Abhishek bhaiyya.'

Abhishek Bachchan on the sets of Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai The young actor himself seems a trifle uncomfortable with all the attention, but he goes about his business quietly. Meanwhile, the crowds swelled during the four days of the shoot as the word spread that Amitabh's son is in the city.

Goldie Behl, who had earlier produced Mahesh Bhatt's Angaaray, makes his debut as a director with this film.
