Making money on petrol

Credit card issuers are not the only ones offering rewards for spending. Bharat Petroleum has introduced a Petro Card, a pre-paid card that allows you fill fuel, buy lubricants, service your car or shop at their store. Every time you utilize this card at their petrol pumps, you will earn points called 'petromiles'. After accumulation of these points, they can be exchanged for gifts. For example, when you fill Rs 100 worth of petrol, you will get 15 points. The same worth of diesel will get you the same number of points. As these points accumulate, they can be exchanged for car accessories like a car air purifier, foot pump, tyre guage and even lubricants, a camera, digital diary or walkman. The cost to you: just Rs 250 as an enrollment fee.
