Kanishtha Dhankhar wins Miss India 2011

The sexy Mumbai-based model Kanishtha Dhankhar is the new Femina Miss India. Here's all you wanted to know about her!

Till a few hours ago, Kanishtha Dhankhar was just one of the faces in the Elite Calendar. Life has never been the same for this 22-year-old model since she won the Femina Miss India on April 14. (Check her out in Elite Calendar)

During the contest Kanishtha also won Miss Body Beautiful (her vital stats are 32- 25- 36), Miss Beautiful Legs and Miss Water Baby.

Kanishtha, a travel freak, has confessed that the thing that gives her a high is watching sunrise on an isolated beach.

Unsurprisingly, when she was asked what her first big splurge would be if she were to win the crown, she replied -- 'South America, Europe or the islands in French Polynesia'

Kanishtha also counts her scuba diving experience in Lakshwadeep as one of the craziest one so far.

When asked what she thought of nude photography, she said that it was art because it celebrated 'the beauty of the human body'.

Kanishtha says the one thing that attracts her to a man is his personality and counts travelling, swimming and eating as her 'interests'.

The 22-year-old model has walked the ramp for Lakme Fashion Week, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Couture Week for many designers including Tarun Tahiliani, Manish Arora, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, and among others.

Hasleen Kaur: 'A man's hands reveal a lot'

Hasleen Kaur was the first runners up at the Pantaloons Femina Miss India and was crowned Miss Earth 2011.

The 22-year-old model comes from Delhi and has done a lot of modelling assignments for brands ranging from Airtel and Videocon to Reebok and Monte Carlo.

Hasleen has also walkred the ramp for various designers including Gauri Nainika, Mandira Wirk, Tarun Tahiliani, Leconate Hemant, Rohit Bal, Ritu Kumar, Manish Malhotra, Rina Dhaka and Payal Jain among others.

Born in West Bengal, Hasleen studies Advertising and PR in the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.

In an interview, she has said that if she would win one of the title, she'd invest her money to prepare herself for the next competition (Her next competition is Miss Earth).

Hasleen also confesses that the craziest rumour she's heard about herself is that she'd been married at the age of 20 and secretly wishes that Javier Bardem would join her on a vacation some day.

Unlike Ankita, Hasleen feels that a live-in relationship is a big no-no and says that it is quite possible to get to know a person without having lived in with him.

Hasleen says a man's hands reveal a lot about his personality and counts Sean Penn as her favourite actor and hockey legend Dhyan Chand as her favourite sportsperson.

Ankita Shorey: 'I was linked with a Bollywood star'

Mumbai-based model Ankita Shorey was second runners-up at the Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2011. Besides winning the Miss India International title, she also won Miss Beautiful Lips.

Shorey confesses that she was once linked with a Bollywood star (but refuses to name him), who had broken up with his then girlfriend and in some mysterious way her name surfaced as the reason for the split.

The 24-year-old model has also starred alongside Ranbir Kapoor in the Virgin mobile ad, with Shah Rukh Khan in an Emami Fair And Handsome commercial and has also been in ad films of Samsung Star Phone and Onida.

Ankita Shorey's interests include pottery, crafts and poetry and she counts Priyanka Chopra as he favourite actor and MS Dhoni as her favourite sportsperson.

In an interview, Shorey also said that while living in does help one to get to know one's partner better it also tends to 'serve as a diffuser in physical attraction'.

Shorey has also said that the most attractive feature in a man are his eyes and that she'd rather strive for success than crave for the riches.
