The merged entity will be called Rave Technologies with offices in Bombay and London. This announcement was jointly made by Anand Jhaveri, managing director, Rave Computers and Simon Denison-Smith, managing director, TKG.

The merger is likely to have a significant impact in the international client-server based software development industry.

''Having been associated with TKG since 1994 and worked together successfully on growing numbers of projects, the next step is to merge the companies to completely align our goals and ambitions to build a world-class software services company,'' said Jhaveri.

Simon Denison-Smith added, ''Rave has consistently delivered on its commitment to build industrial strength software for our European clients. This is an amazing opportunity for TKG to be part of this success story.''

Jhaveri told reporters in Bombay that Rave Computers has carved the unique identity of a software boutique in a fiercely competitive and crowded environment, through an emphasis on leading-edge technology and world-class quality.

The company's area of specialisation is Windows, specifically tools such as Visual C, Visual Basic, Java, SQL Server and Oracle. The two companies have already worked together to create software for international major like UBS, the United Nations, BBC and Lloyds Bank. The combined experience of the merged entity will stand at a million man-hours, focused on Windows based client-server application with 60 professionals in London and Bombay.

The management targets achieving a growth rate of 100 per cent per annum for the next three years.
